Produced from slightly ‘wet’ honey from a small beekeeper in Stockport, gathered from the edges of Cheadle. This Limited Edition Urban Mead demonstrates the difference in urban and suburban areas vs forest or agricultural areas. The bees have collected pollen from roadside hedgerows, back gardens, motorway verges and industrial areas, producing a mead with a little more of an edge.
The Limited Edition Urban mead is a PURE HONEY mead, wild fermented from the yeast present in the honey. It is rich, yet smooth with a chocolatey edge and possibly more of a sipping mead. Think smoking jacket, after dinner in front of the fire. Would pair well with creamy cheese to cut through the richness.
FREE FROM: Gluten, Wheat, Fish, Dairy, Sulphites, Eggs, Gelatin – suitable for vegetarians
As this is a natural product, some hazing and sedimentation is likely to occur. Leave to settle in a cool, dark place and pour carefully. This a natural part of the maturation process and is not harmful to consumer or product. In fact, it will taste even better for it and it is why we use a decanter style bottle!
