This Limited Edition Mead is a happy accident! During filtration of our Valhalla’s Mead, we managed to put on the ‘wrong’ barrel and accidentally grabbed a barrel of our one year aged Urd mead instead! Obviously, this meant we mixed the two meads and, as the mead goat stands upon Valhalla, so Urd went upon the top of Valhalla and voila! The Limited Edition Heidrun’s Mead was ‘born’.
This Limited Edition Heidrun’s Mead is a mix of TWO PURE HONEY meads that are both wild fermented from the yeast present within the honey. Deceptively light, despite its red/brown colour, would pair well with a flavoursome curry – murgh malai, madras – or a slightly tart cheese.
FREE FROM: Gluten, Wheat, Fish, Dairy, Sulphites, Eggs, Gelatin – suitable for vegetarians
As this is a natural product, some hazing and sedimentation is likely to occur. Leave to settle in a cool, dark place and pour carefully. This a natural part of the maturation process and is not harmful to consumer or product. In fact, it will taste even better for it and it is why we use a decanter style bottle!
