Description
Ægir (Old Norse for “sea”) is a sea giant, God of the ocean and King of the sea creatures in Norse mythology. He is also known for hosting elaborate parties for the gods.
Ægir and his NINE daughters brewed (the best ever) ale in a large pot. This mead is a ‘Tannined Melomel’ (fruited honey mead). This is the most traditional ‘basic’ mead recipe. We achieve this amazing flavour simply by adding tea and orange juice concentrate to the fermentation process.
The addition of orange juice concentrate and tea gives the tannined, full bodied flavour, a slightly softer and fruitier taste, making it a firm favourite with drinkers across the board.

As this is a natural product, some hazing and sedimentation is likely to occur. Leave to settle in a cool, dark place and pour carefully. This a natural part of the maturation process and is not harmful to consumer or product. In fact, it will taste even better for it and it is why we use a decanter style bottle!
